THE EFFECT OF LACK OF QUALIFIED TEACHERS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS IN FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
ABSTRACTS
This study discusses the effect of lack of qualified teachers on the performance of students in financial financial accounting.
The study examined whether teachers’ commitment to teaching, work habit, teachers’ qualification, the use of instructional material, peer groups, parental involvement and so on contribute to poor performance of students in financial accounting. In view of these, five research questions were formulated.
This study was a descriptive research of survey type. 100 students were selected for the study using simple random sampling technique. A well structured questionnaire was used for data collection and the data were analyzed using percentage. while Pearson correlation coefficient at 0.05 level of significance was use to analyzed the hypothesis generated for the study. The study revealed that among others that Lack of commitment on the part teacher, poor working habit, poor attitude of teachers, lack of punctuality in class works among others are revealed in the study as teachers’ factors responsible for students poor performance in financial accounting.
